Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 114h Endurance rating (23:40h calls, 15:58h web, 19:02h video)
  • 4,520mAh battery, 33W charging
  • Cheap, yet the flagship-grade phone
  • 120Hz OLED screen, HDR10+
  • Snapdragon 888 chip
  • Versatile camera setup
  • IP53-rated

BAD

  • No microSD slot, no 3.5mm jack
  • Mediocre ultrawide camera quality

The most recent Poco F3 replaces our previous top pick for battery life champ - Poco F2 Pro. In terms of battery life, it is one of the most powerful smartphones currently available and the most reliable performer.

The threequel to the legendary Pocophone has everything a flagship on a budget should pack - a stunning HDR10+ OLED screen, 120Hz on it, the most current Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, and plenty of cameras.

The Poco F3 packs a massive 4,520mAh battery which proved to be quite reliable - providing great gaming and/or multimedia experience on a single charge. And then you can top that battery up well enough fast with the supplied 33W charger.

Some phones have scored better, that's for sure, but none of them can match the Poco F3 for its all-around package and battery life, especially considering the powerful Snapdragon 888 chipset.

2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro - Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 118h Endurance rating (28:45h calls, 14:13h web, 17:44h video)
  • Great 120Hz AMOLED screen, HDR10
  • Snapdragon 732G chipset is snappy and efficient
  • Good camera quality overall
  • Dedicated microSD slot, 3.5mm jack, NFC
  • IP53-rated, dual Gorilla Glass 5

BAD

  • No reverse charging
  • No Night Mode on ultrawide, low-light quality is mediocre
  • A higher grade chipset would have been more exciting

Next on our list is the Redmi Note 10 Pro. This is a mid-ranger with excellent battery autonomy and fast enough charging. It impresses with a high-grade 120Hz AMOLED screen and 108MP primary camera with enjoyable pictures and videos.

Redmi Note 10 Pro is also very attractive to look at. It has two Gorilla Glass 5 panels and is IP53-rated. It packs all kinds of connectivity options including NFC. The Snapdragon 732G isn't as exciting as some of the faster SoCs within other competitors, but it certainly gets the job done and is good enough for its price.

Redmi Note 10 Pro is available under different names in different markets. You can also get it in India as Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

3. Realme 8 Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 127h Endurance rating (36:10h calls, 17:41h web, 17:12h video)
  • Bright Super AMOLED HDR10 screen
  • Solid performance on a budget
  • 3.5mm jack, microSD, NFC, FM radio
  • 30W fast charging

BAD

  • Over the top design
  • The camera quality is subpar
  • No stereo speakers

The Realme 8 impressed us with its long battery life and fast charging. It also packs a very nice Super AMOLED screen and a capable Helio G95 chip, which does well for games. It offers speedy charging, NFC, a 3.5mm jack, a dedicated MicroSD slot, and even FM radio.

Its camera setup can pack four shooters, but the photo quality for main and ultrawide shooters was indifferent. Videos turned out good, however, selfies too.

The Realme 8 isn't the best phone, but it's cheap, it passed our battery life test, and it offers more than enough for its price.

4. Samsung Galaxy A12 Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 123h Endurance rating (31:34h calls, 16:18h web, 15:19h video)
  • Good quad-camera on the cheap
  • NFC, microSD, 3.5mm jack, FM radio
  • Cheap

BAD

  • Low-res screen
  • Poor processor performance
  • Sluggish charging

If battery life comes first, the €150 Samsung Galaxy A12 is a very affordable smartphone. It has a large screen with a small notch which is ideal for watching videos. The quad camera at the back is also good.

Does not affect the phone performance; Its screen is just 720p and with washed-out colors. However, the Android 11 OS and One UI are still quite fast.

So, the Galaxy A12 is for those of you who are on a limited budget and prioritize battery life above everything else. If it isn't, we should probably look elsewhere.

5. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 110h Endurance rating (41:21h calls, 13:55h web, 20:13h video)
  • 33W charging
  • Bright Full HD Super AMOLED screen
  • Good quad-camera
  • IP53-rated, microSD, 3.5mm jack, FM radio
  • Stereo speakers

BAD

  • No NFC
  • Not the fastest SoC around

€170 Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 is an attractive budget offer. It has a 6.43" 1080p OLED screen and the curve rests on a decent Snapdragon 678 chipset on the back. The rear camera delivers good regular and ultrawide photos, with videos coming out just fine.

But the reason we included this Redmi Note 10 Lite is its excellent battery life and 33W fast charging. You can watch videos for 20 hours and then talk for some or even 41 hours uninterrupted. The Redmi Note 10 apart from its balanced feature set offers great battery autonomy and we recommend it. Also, its price is quite reasonable.

6. Realme 7 5G Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 129h Endurance rating (35:38h calls, 18:57h web, 16:03h video)
  • 30W charging
  • Large Full HD screen, 120Hz
  • Weather-sealed ports and loudspeaker
  • Good quad-camera
  • Very good performance, 5G
  • NFC, 3.5mm jack, microSD slot

BAD

  • 120Hz refresh rate handling and automatic switching needs work

The Realme 7 5G is one of the cheapest 5G phones around, priced at around €250 or so. It offers a large LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs on the Density 800U 5G chip that offers decent performance. You can also count on a very good quad-camera on the back.

However, when it comes to battery life, the Realme 7 5G is a winner. It scored a 129h endurance rating on our battery life test and is great for calls, the web, and even video playback. It also charges very fast. It's really hard to find flaws in this offer and that's why it deserves to be on our and your shopping list.

There is a newer, but not better, Realme 8 5G model, which is a bit cheaper. But it has a lousy screen, GPU, camera, and charging speed, so we chose to keep the Realme 7 5G instead.

7. Realme 7 Pro Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 113h Endurance rating (35:48h calls, 16:12h web, 18:10h video)
  • 65W charging
  • Large OLED screen
  • Water-repellent coating
  • Good quad-camera
  • Very good performance
  • Stereo speakers, NFC, 3.5mm jack, microSD slot

BAD

  • 60Hz screen
  • No NFC (market dependent)
  • Underwhelming video recording quality

The Realme 7 Pro is €20 or more expensive than the Realme 7 5G and impresses with the battery life as well. Though it doesn't come with an HRR screen, its panel is of OLED type and has a stereo speaker setup.

The Realme 7 Pro performed well in our battery life test with great on-screen tests and talk time. It can charge super-fast thanks to Realme's 65W SuperDart charging solution. It might not feature the smoothest screen, but its display and OLED panel are more than enough, and we think it deserves a place here for its great battery life and charging.

The Realme 8 Pro is already available, but it's not an upgrade at all. Like the 8 5G, the 8 Pro is a slightly toned-down version of the 7 Pro with slower charging speeds, a speaker, lack of a water seal, and Gorilla Glass protection. The only notable update is the high-resolution 108MP main camera capable of 3x lossless zoom. But we don't think it costs more than the 7 Pro and hence we kept the previous model as our choice.

8. Xiaomi Poco M3 Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 154h Endurance rating (46:04h calls, 21:57h web, 17:03h video)
  • Large 1080p screen, a small notch
  • Okay camera experience
  • 6,000mAh battery, 18W charging
  • Stereo speakers, IR port, microSD, 3.5mm jack

BAD

  • No ultrawide camera
  • No NFC
  • Gaming would require lowering the screen resolution

The $130/€150 Poco M3 is our next pick on our ever-growing list of battery life champions. It has a large hi-res LCD screen, stereo speakers, and a massive 6,000mAh battery with fast charging, all of which make the M3 more worthy for this budget segment. The phone scored an excellent 154h endurance rating on our battery life test and it secured a spot on this list at the same time.

Gaming is very possible, you just need to lower the graphics settings and resolution. The M3 also won't be known for its camera prowess, but it's not that bad. With speedy charging, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, and microSD storage, it compensates for this.

9. Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 121h Endurance rating (32:14h calls, 18:05h web, 16:36h video)
  • Large 1080p screen, a small notch
  • Good camera experience
  • 5,000mAh battery, 18W charging
  • Stereo speakers, IR port, microSD, 3.5mm jack, NFC

BAD

  • No ultrawide camera
  • No stereo speakers
  • Gaming would require lowering the screen resolution

€170 Poco M3 Pro joins Poco M3 in this chapter. It has a large 1080p LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate support and the most affordable 5G-capable chip - the Dimension 700 5G. The M3 Pro scored an excellent 121h endurance rating on our battery life test and can be recharged fairly quickly.

The M3 Pro doesn't offer stereo speakers like the regular M3 model. And gaming is only possible using minimum graphics settings and resolutions. But it's a good phone, pretty affordable at that, with 5G, a nice screen, a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, and microSD storage.

10. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 144h Endurance rating (41:01h calls, 19:12h web, 24:11h video)
  • Bright AMOLED, flagship-grade performance, 5G
  • Great photo and video quality
  • Recent software

BAD

  • Low-res screen
  • Sluggish charging

€299 The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is a very interesting offering - it has an AMOLED screen and flagship-grade performance, as well as its great battery life and photography prowess. It also offers 5G connectivity at that price.

However, there is a catch. The screen is 720p resolution and it takes longer than we'd like to charge the beefy battery. Then again, at that price, we're getting a lot, actually, more than we expected.

11. Samsung Galaxy M62 Best Long Battery Life Phone

Best Long Battery Life Phone

GOOD

  • 7000mAh battery, 25W charging (older model had 156h endurance)
  • Large 1080p AMOLED, good performance
  • Promising photo and video quality
  • Potent chip with flagship-like performance
  • Recent software

BAD

  • Others offer HRR screens at that price

The $400 Samsung Galaxy M62 and its massive 7,000mAh battery are instant attention grabbers. Unlike the Galaxy A42 5G, which we recommended above, this M62 comes with a 1080p screen, is fairly quick to charge, and packs a very capable Exynos chip with excellent performance. So, if the battery and OLED resolution are important, this may be the better option.

The only thing stopping us from immediately recommending it is that others have HRR screens and stereo speakers for similar cash. And it's sold mostly in Asia, making it an almost impossible choice for Western markets.
