Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 (2022) review
This Is The Best Laptop In The World Because This Laptop More Than More Use People And This Is The Best Rating Laptop ( 4.6 out of 54.6 out of 5 ). This is Best Selling Laptop. Most Popular Laptop In The World
The Acer's Aspire 5 is a solid workhorse laptop that won’t strain the purse strings but it has a few too many shortcomings.
GOOD
- Affordable
- Good sound quality
- Full selection of ports
- Upgradeable
- Runs cool
BAT
- Middling performance
- Below-average battery life
- Mushy keyboard
The Acer Aspire 5 is not a laptop that will win all the accolades, but it is the notebook that will get the job done (within reason). The Acer Aspire 5 closes a lot of boxes for students participating in remote or in-person learning this year. The $ 549 ($ 399 start) laptop offers an ineffective look with plenty of ports and surprisingly good audio.
However, moderate performance and subpar battery life prevent this laptop from making it to any of our best lists. But if you're looking for a cheap alternative that can transition from work to play with relative ease, the Aspire 5 will do the trick.

The base configuration of the Acer Aspire 5 starts at $ 399 and features an Intel Core i3-1005G1 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, Intel UHD graphics, and a 15.6-inch, 1080p display.
Our test unit is priced at $ 549 and features an Intel Core i5-1035G1 CPU with 8GB of RAM, 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, and Intel UHD graphics. Max Out, the Acer Aspire 5 comes with an Intel Core i7-8565U CPU, 8GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB VRAM, and a 15.6-inch, 1080p display at $ 779.
One very good thing about the Aspire 5 is that it can easily be done thanks to its design, which allows access to the motherboard by removing the bottom of the chassis. The notebook also comes with a hard drive installation kit so customers can easily install a hard disk drive to complement the 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Acer Aspire 5 Design
The Acer Aspire 5 looks like a long-lost MacBook cousin — it's not your first choice, but you won't get it out of bed. It is slim and sleek with subtly understated styling, which makes it pleasing to the eye without being overly attractive.
When closed, the lid of the unit is firmly down against the chassis, and with its super-smooth surfaces, it is a bit difficult to open. Once you open it, your eyes become familiar with a pleasing design. The first thing you notice is at least the black bezel around the display. Next, you'll drink in the full-backlit chiclet-style keyboard, which sits atop the touchpad, all encased in the silver casing, with its curved rounded corners adding to the Aspire 5's alluring spirit. Adequate palm rest makes you feel like using a very large laptop.
There is a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello that allows you to lock and unlock the laptop with your fingertip. I was disappointed that Acer did not add a camera shutter to provide some privacy to the user.
Measuring 14.3 x 9.9 x 0.7 inches and weighing 3.7 pounds, the Aspire 5 is slightly heavier and larger than the Lenovo Yoga C740 (3 pounds and 12.7.1 x 8.5 x 0.6 inches). However, it is lighter than the Asus VivoBook S15 (S533F) which comes in 4 pounds, 14.1 x 9.2 x 0.6 inches.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Acer Aspire 5 Display
The Aspire 5's 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel display is bright with good color saturation. Looking at the Magic Camp trailer, the colors and tones were well presented, especially when a group of children was walking in a dramatic slo-mo wearing a red sweatsuit. The colors were well saturated, warm, and rich, and the contrast was excellent. Overall, it was a solid visual experience. You can watch fully wedge and binge movies with this display.
When our team of skilled mad scientists measured the color reproduction of the panel, Aspire 5 scored 63% of the SRGB color gamut, which was associated with Asus Weiwobook. The Lenovo Yoga C60 blew them both, scoring 111%, which is above the 79% mainstream laptop average.
The Aspire 5's display averages 258 nits brightness, which is faster than the 248-night VVobook (248 nits) and the Yoga C740 (250 nits).
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Acer Aspire 5 Audio
The Aspire 5 scores a few points here with its good sound quality. The audio is clear and even provides a little "rump shaker" bass and depth. The speakers are loud enough to be heard clearly in a medium-sized room. The two front-mounted speakers pushed the sound enough to twerk on the new Cardi B and Megan Te Stallion song, which I won't mention here because we are just an impeccable group of technical experts. While playing Bach's "Prologue in Be Minor", Mid and High was excellent and clear.
Acer's True Harmony Gen 2 feature, which Acer claims provides a wider frequency range, less distortion, and headphones-like sound quality, offers three different surround sound modes: music, film, and games. I tried them all, and they were excellent; You are able to make a slight difference with the volume being the highest in the movie mode while the bass is stronger in music mode and maintaining great clarity. I found that the game mode was a combination of the first two modes and also a wonderful experience.

When it comes time to chat, the Aspire 5 uses a dual microphone array and Acer's proprietary Pure Voice technology. It combines far-field pickup, voice tracking, keystroke compression, adaptive beamforming, and pre-defined individual and conference call modes. During a recent zoom call with my daughter, she commented, "You look, great Daddy, can I borrow $ 50?" I can confirm the quality because it sounded loud and clear when I said "no".
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Acer Aspire 5 Keyboard & Touchpad
Although highly responsive and sporting a large palm rest that gives excellent support, I found the Aspire 5's full-size, chiclet keyboard to be a bit soulful and didn't click as much as I liked it. During the 10 Fastfingers test, I scored 55 words per minute with 60% accuracy, which is pretty solid when you keep in mind that I have thick chorizo fingers that sometimes lack agility.
The 4.1 x 3.1-inch touchpad is responsive when navigating websites or documents. The smooth surface specializes in Windows 10 gestures, such as a two-finger swipe and a three-finger tap. The lower corners give a strong response and tend to click a lot when using right or left clicks.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Acer Aspire 5 Performance
With a 1-GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, and an Intel UHD Graphics GPU, the Aspire 5 is a workhorse that lets all your daily emails, YouTube breaks, documents, and school go smoothly. Is capable of handling. Work.
Unfortunately, Aspire 5 debuted during our lab tests with Geekbench 5.0, which is an overall performance benchmark. The laptop scored 2,744, which is lower than the average of 3,452 mainstream laptops. The Asus VivoBook, with its Core i5-10210U CPU, hit 3,560, while the Lenovo Yoga C740 and its Core i5-10210U CPU reach 3,878.
Our review unit managed to beat the mainstream laptop average (22:21) during handbrake video-editing testing, which took 21 minutes 55 seconds to transcode 4K video to 1080p. However, Veevobuk (17:22) and Yoga C740 (20:42) scored better. During the file transfer test, Aspire 5 took 14 seconds to copy 5GB of mixed-media files for a transfer rate of 369.4 megabytes per second. The Webhook (512 GB SSD) hit 408 Mbps, the Lenovo Yoga C740 (512 GB SSD) was the group's speed demon with an 848.2 Mbps transfer rate.
Aspire 5 uses an Intel integrated GPU, which I would not recommend for intensive gaming. Our test unit scored 8 frames per second, matching the Yoga C740 during Sid Meyer's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm test (1080p). Wevobook led the group, reaching 11 fps, but still falling below the mainstream 14-fps average laptop.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - battery life
The Aspire 5 comes with a 48Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery, which Acer gives eight hours of battery life. When we ran the laptop mag battery test, which included continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits brightness, the laptop ran for 6 hours 55 minutes, well below the 9:22 mainstream average. Both Veevobuk and Yoga C60 lasted longer at 6:23 and 10:14 respectively.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 Heat
Aspire does an excellent job of removing heat. I opened 30 tabs in Google Chrome, all playing various Full HD YouTube videos while working on a single document and there was no real increase in temperature.
Our team played a fullscreen HD video for 15 minutes and measured specific locations on the laptop as time passed. The touchpad measured 71 degrees Fahrenheit, which is well below our 95-degree comfort range. Between the G & H keys and downstream, we got a comfortable temperature of 4 degrees.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Webcam
The Aspire 5 720p webcam is fairly standard and performs well. Like most webcams, the color may be slightly off-color and the details will be grainy if the light is not correct. If you need better quality, then I suggest you buy an external webcam. However, the Aspire 5 camera will be more than enough during your zoom call and Google Meet.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - software and warranty
Acer Aspire 5 comes with Windows 10 Home, which means that there is a fair amount of bloatware including Skype, Netflix, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, and Spades.
The Acer Aspire 5 comes with a one-year limited warranty. See how Acer performed in our annual Tech Support Showdown and Special Report for Best and Worst Brands.
Best Laptop In The World - Acer Aspire 5 - Bottom Line
The Acer Aspire 5 is not a game-changer. Its design is so low that it is barely noticeable and its Core i5 processor and integrated graphics won't blow you away with its performance. But for the critically affordable $ 549, the Aspire 5 offers a solid audio system and enough power to get the job done, whether the task is writing a report, video chatting with a family, or watching a movie.
However, if you are looking for more power, longer battery life, and a better screen, we would recommend the $ 686 Lenovo Yoga. It is slightly more expensive than the Acer, but you also get the added benefit of variable versatility through the system's 360-degree hinges. That said, if you're looking for a laptop that can handle remote or in-person learning on a budget, the Acer Aspire 5 is a solid choice.
